To immerse ourselves in nature and learn by doing, with the harvesting of olives and extraction of the oil.

Where? We will be based at Tenuta Tedone Consolini near Ruvo di Puglia

This experience is the result of a collaboration between the olive oil sommeliers of Olive Groves and Sebastiano and Valeria of Le 4 Contrade organic farm.

Programme

Day 1 - Museum, Slow Food Tasting & Dinner

From 4 pm: tour of the Olive Oil Museum located in Le 4 Contrade’s old mill followed by a tasting of Italian vintage olive oils by Virginie and Camille, our olive oil sommeliers.

Aperitif and Slow Food dinner at Antichi Sapiri run by farmer-chef Pietro Zito.

Day 2 - Olive Harvest and New Oil

In the morning, olive harvest in the century-old groves of the organic farming estate Le 4 Contrade.

Farmers' lunch at the masseria.

In the afternoon, transfer of the harvested olives to the modern mill near the estate and guided tour by the miller. Tasting of the new oil.

End of day is free, possibility to arrange dinner at the Tenuta.

Day 3 - Alta Murgia and Castel del Monte

We’ll start the day with a walk in the Alta Murgia National Park near the Tenuta and will then head on to a lunch at Cucina Villana, a local restaurant using mostly wild herbs and vegetables from the Alta Murgia. Dessert will be at famous ice cream shop Mokambo Gelateria.

In the afternoon, visit of the iconic Castel del Monte.

Free end of day.

Price & Booking

Price

450 Euros per adult (490 Euros with a single room). Booking by email. A prepayment of 80 Euros per adult will be requested, the balance will be payable to Olive Groves upon arrival.
