Frantoio Gaudenzi
Trevi, Umbria (Italy)
This estate managed by the two Gaudenzi brothers has been at the forefront of innovation in the past twenty years and has contributed to improving quality in the Italian olive oil sector. After investing in a state-of-the-art mill in 2003, they initiated a collaboration with the University of Perugia that turned their mill into a research centre aimed at developing new extraction techniques. Today, they are planting new organic groves equipped with latest weather monitoring devices.
Their beautiful groves on the hills near Trevi in Umbria are situated around 500 metres above sea level, an environment that favours the development of powerful aromas and high antioxydants.
