Fattoria Ramerino is located on the hills south of Florence. The area is considered to have a high vocation for olive-growing, especially thanks to the sun exposure. The olive groves (5500 trees) are organically cultivated with the typical cultivars of central Tuscany (Moraiolo, Frantoio, Leccino and Americano). Harvesting begins in mid-October and continues during the month of November, but never beyond. Within 12 hours of harvesting the olives are taken to the oil mill for processing.
Filippo Alampi has been taking care of Fattoria Ramerino for more than 20 years. He follows scrupulously all the stages of transformation, from the fruit to the extra virgin olive oil.
